Conformal Coatings

Conformal Coating for printed circuit boards is a kind of silicone varnish that when applied forms a thin layer on the surface. The coatings protect the board against harmful elements such as humidity, corrosion, salt spray, dust, splashing water, some types of chemical agents and extreme temperatures.

Protectronics Conformal Coatings can be applied by pouring them onto the product; by immersion; applying with a soft brush; through a sprayer. In all cases, it is possible to reapply the coating to obtain a thicker layer, thus increasing the level of protection.

The benefits of the coating are good electrical insulation, eliminates the need for housing, does not significantly influence the weight of the product, protects against harmful environmental effects, and reduction of stress in the PCB assembly.

We work with silicone-based coatings with or without solvent and urethane acrylate-based. Each coating has different characteristics, for different applications and with different curing times.
