Polyurethane potting for electronics, also known as PU Potting, is an exception to condensing polymers because it does not release water or another small molecule during polymerization.
In the electronics industry, PU is used to encapsulate electronic boards that will be exposed to temperature and humidity variations, such as washing machine boards, microwave ovens, bathtubs, refrigerators and many other equipment or appliances.
Its main features are strong hardness, resistance to dust, humidity, vibrations, temperature variations and excellent high frequency electrical performance. It keeps stable properties between -40 to 302°F (-40 to 150°C).
